Fresh New Work for Spring

At their core these paintings and 3-d collage works are about joy. They are a performance of sorts – spontaneously choreographed – playful and sensitive – free-flowing within the bounds of carefully constructed compositions.The mixed media constructions are an exercise in free association and serve as launching points for the paintings. The work is advanced through scale and liberal paint handling - applying my marks quickly and with a confidence that is intuitive and decidedly unfussy.
